The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kutalion. No joy for Superman on that attempt.

Superman has Kutalion up against the cage in a clinch.
Kutalion prevents the takedown attempt.
Kutalion stalling against the cage.
Superman fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Supadupa Superman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kutalion controlling the action here for a moment.

Kutalion pulls Superman into guard.

Kutalion looking for a sweep. Not yet Kutalion, not yet.
Superman looking to sit in guard and control but Kutalion gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Superman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kutalion not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kutalion closes the distance and clinches up with Superman, looking for a takedown. Kutalion pushes Superman against the cage but Superman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Superman has his takedown stuffed

and Kutalion counters with a shoot takedown. Superman fights it but they end up in guard.
Kutalion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Superman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Superman is breathing heavily.

Superman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kutalion uses it to pass to side control.
Superman is not content to let Kutalion control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kutalion has hold of Superman's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Superman seems comfortable defending it but Kutalion has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Superman is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Superman is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kutalion couldn't care less - he's delighted!
