The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faroney has managed to clinch.
Sylva is trying to break the clinch but Faroney is controlling him.
Sylva wants to break free but Faroney has control.

Sylva gets control of Faroney's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sylva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sylva looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Sylva is looking for a triangle but Faroney pushes his legs off easily.

Sylva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faroney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sylva wants to stand and escape but Faroney is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sylva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sylva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faroney circles away quickly and effectively.
Sylva tries for a takedown but Faroney sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Faroney closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Faroney lands a hook that snaps the head of Sylva backwards.

Sylva is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Faroney moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
