PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksymilian Gracie (ranked 1520 p4p, 155 weight class) and Tearrius George (ranked 2439 p4p, 252 weight class). Gracie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, King of Leon - Closer. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
George is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
George tries to work over Gracie's front leg with a kick but Gracie checks it.
Gracie fails with an attempt to clinch.
George looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
George throws a hook but Gracie blocks it.
It looked like Gracie wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by George.
George connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gracie's hands.

Gracie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
George ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.

Gracie clobbers George with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. George is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and George is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!
