Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Finch (ranked 24371 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sirate Dominik (ranked 5956 p4p, 640 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominik darts in looking for a takedown but Finch gets double underhooks and turns Dominik into the cage.

Dominik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dominik misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Dominik is trying to get an arm triangle but Finch is defending well.
Finch is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dominik fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Dominik decides to stand up, so the ref orders Finch to his feet.

Dominik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Finch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dominik goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Finch rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dominik's guard! Nice work there by Finch!

Finch stands and steps away. Dominik gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That kick from Dominik tenderised Finch's leg. Finch is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dominik fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dominik shoots in and drives through. Finch sprawls well.

Finch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Finch scores with a hook to the body. Dominik takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dominik tries to clinch there but Finch circles away.
Finch lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Finch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dominik to the mat! Dominik manages to get full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Leroy Finch will probably get the nod.

Finch has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Dominik escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Dominik!

Finch holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dominik tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dominik lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sirate Dominik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Finch is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Dominik presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Finch throws a hook to the side of Dominik's head but Dominik sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Finch jumps guard but Dominik stands there with Finch around his waist. Finch gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
