Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Casper Abbot!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbot's jab looks to have found its range, popping Singleton under the eye.


It looks like Zane Singleton has been cut.
Abbot looks to land a right hand but Singleton moved out of range.
And Singleton counters with a quick kick to the body but Abbot blocks it.
Abbot scores with a hook.
Abbot thows a left - swing and a miss!
A thudding body kick lands there by Singleton!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singleton keeps control of Abbot as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Singleton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Singleton has managed to clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Singleton fails to land.
Singleton really is a fat lump.
Singleton has Abbot pressed against the cage, preventing Abbot from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Singleton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Abbot is trying to break the clinch but Singleton has him pressed against the cage.
Abbot tries to pull guard but Singleton holds him up against the cage and eventually Abbot drops back down to his feet.

Singleton keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Abbot's efforts to push away.

Singleton takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Abbot throws a hook but Singleton avoids it easily.
Abbot misses with a few strikes there.
Abbot moves in looking to clinch but Singleton pushes him off.

Abbot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Singleton swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Abbot looks to land a right hand but Singleton moved out of range.

Abbot tries to clinch up.

and Singleton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Singleton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Abbot throws a lazy right hand but Singleton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Singleton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Abbot lands the left hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Abbot gets tackled into the cage by Singleton. Singleton maintains the clinch.
Singleton keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Abbot's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Casper Abbot will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Zane Singleton's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Singleton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Abbot's guard.


Singleton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Singleton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Singleton postures up in Abbot's guard and throws a big left but Abbot blocks it.
Abbot is trying to keep Singleton in close.

Singleton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Abbot wants to control but Singleton passes easily into half guard.
Singleton keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Abbot tries to get to full guard but Singleton has control of the leg.

Abbot is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Singleton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Singleton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Abbot doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Singleton.

Abbot tries to kick Singleton off but Singleton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Abbot cracks Singleton with an open hand slap.
A big right from Abbot misses.
Casper Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Abbot.
Abbot connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


Zane Singleton's cut is getting worse.
Abbot throws a looping overhand right but Singleton ducks down to avoid it.
Singleton is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Abbot.
Singleton has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Abbot misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Singleton tries to counter with a takedown but Abbot is quick to defend against it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Abbot lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Singleton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Singleton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Singleton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Singleton gets cracked there but stands up to it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Abbot connects with a superb combination that knocks Singleton out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Abbot before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Singleton!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Casper Abbot!
