Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Drama (ranked 267 p4p, 33 weight class) and Silas Monk (ranked 493 p4p, 55 weight class). Monk has chosen Fucka Bjorn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Silas Monk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drama throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Monk sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Monk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Drama fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A slapping leg kick lands for Drama.
Drama moves out of range as Monk strikes.
Drama dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Monk moves away from the strike by Drama.
Monk looks to land a body kick but Drama moved away.
Drama moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Monk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Drama was well out of range. Poor timing from Monk.
Drama is looking to counter punch.
Drama avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Monk throws a hook but Drama avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drama delivers a nice body kick.

Johnny Drama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drama bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Monk's head.

Drama swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Monk counters with a crisp one two that drops Drama! Monk thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Drama to his feet! Drama is in big trouble!
Drama throws a jab but it's blocked by Monk.
Drama takes a swing at Monk's ribcage but misses.
Drama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Monk doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Monk cracks Drama with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Monk has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Drama to stand back up!
Drama is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monk Throws a clean left jab. Monk Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Drama's chin! Drama crumbles to the ground and Monk follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Monk!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Silas Monk!
Silas Monk decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
