Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benson Whyte (ranked 241 p4p, 34 weight class) and Soylent Green (ranked 484 p4p, 73 weight class). Whyte comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley - Jammin. Benson Whyte had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Whyte is out of range.
The crowd cheers as Whyte lands an impressive looking overhand right. Green doesn't seem phased though.
Whyte throws a hook to the side of Green's head but Green sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It looks like Soylent Green has been cut.
Green fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Whyte looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Whyte fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Green throws a lazy uppercut
and Whyte counters with a straight right hand.
Whyte misses with a hook. Green ducked under it nicely.
Green scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Whyte doesn't seem bothered though.
Green throws a lazy right hand but Whyte sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As Green looks to move away, Whyte throws a big counter combo but Green just gets out of the way.

Whyte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Green.
Whyte was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Green misses with a low kick.
Green has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Whyte lands the left hand.
Green bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Whyte throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Green sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Green moves into range and connects with a jab.
Green lands a nice leg kick that just misses Whyte's sensitive parts.
Green lands with a kick to the ribs.
Green misses with a wild body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Whyte misses the target.
Whyte drops Green with a beautiful combination! Green stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Whyte is looking for the KO!

Whyte finds Green's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Green flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Whyte lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Green will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benson Whyte!
