Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Beau Ruane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ispa Mfer!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer shoots in and drives through. Ruane sprawls well.

Ruane content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ruane drives through and clinches with Mfer against the cage.
Mfer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mfer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ruane walks away with a smile on his face. Mfer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mfer throws a low kick but Ruane avoids it.
Ruane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mfer defends well and Ruane ends up having to push Mfer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mfer moves in looking to clinch but Ruane pushes him off.
Mfer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ruane on the side of the head.

Ruane clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ruane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Mfer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Ruane gets control of Mfer's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ruane will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Ruane manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Ruane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mfer can do to turn this around?
Ruane tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mfer smiles and moves away.
Ruane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mfer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Ruane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
