Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomo Jr (ranked 4053 p4p, 0 weight class) and No Uno (ranked 6309 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tomo Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, No Uno!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr with a lazy takedown attempt

and Uno counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Uno.
Jr tries to pull guard but Uno won't allow it.
Uno should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A right hand to the body from Uno.
Jr wants to stall.
Jr tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomo Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Uno gets control of Jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Uno will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Uno wants to sweep here but Jr controlling him for the moment.
Uno striking off his back but it's not causing Jr any problems.

Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uno circles away quickly and effectively.
Uno wants to counter the offense by Jr and move into the clinch position.
Uno shoots in for a takedown but Jr shows good takedown defense.

Uno dives in and grabs Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jr pushes down on Uno's head and hops out.

Jr fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Uno is looking for a takedown.
Jr jumps guard but Uno stands there with Jr around his waist. Jr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Uno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Uno stuffs the takedown.

Uno closes the distance and pushes Jr back into the cage.

Jr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Uno counters by clinching up.
Uno tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jr's elbow.

Uno manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jr trying to control but Uno is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Uno is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Uno controls from within his opponent's guard.
Uno is looking to advance position but Jr has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Uno keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jr looking to control but Uno is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Jr is really struggling to control Uno but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No Uno dominated that round.
That's time! Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jr tries to clinch but Uno moves out of range.
Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Uno tries to sprawl out of it but Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Uno manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Uno tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jr defends well and Uno ends up having to push Jr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Uno.
Uno keeps the fight on the outside.
Uno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jr is looking for a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Uno closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jr bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jr throws a head kick but Uno moves out of range.

and Uno counters with a left and a right that stings Jr.
Tomo Jr is winning the standup battle so far.

and Uno counters with a one-two to the body.

Jr tries to keep at a distance but Uno has taken the fight into the clinch.

Uno escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Uno slaps away a takedown attempt from Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jr stuffs the takedown.
Uno is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Uno looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Uno shoots for a double leg takedown but Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Uno's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Uno counters with a nice body kick.
Jr misses with a takedown attempt - Uno sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Uno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jr's waist but Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Uno off to one side.
Uno displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jr.
Jr throws a half hearted mid kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jr shoots in but Uno avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Uno wants to counter with a clinch but Jr pushes him away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jr is defended easily by Uno.

Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Uno swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Uno's waist but Uno gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jr off to one side.

Jr prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jr tries to break free but Uno pushes him back against the cage.

Uno manages to pull guard.
Uno utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Uno controlling Jr's posture.
Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Uno has his foot on Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jr works his way back into a safe position though.
Jr forces his way into half guard.
Uno tries to roll over but Jr keeps him under control.
Jr throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No Uno showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Uno moves into range and clinches up with Jr.
Uno has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jr trying to stall but Uno improves his position.
Jr can't get the takedown.

Uno manages to pull guard.
Uno has Jr pulled in close to control his posture.
Jr sitting in guard, not really doing much.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jr wants to stand but Uno is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jr trying to move into half guard but instead Uno has managed to sweep!

Uno looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Uno drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uno jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jr working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Uno has passed into half guard!

Uno not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Uno is controlling the pace.
Jr controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Jr is pressing down on Uno's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Uno slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Uno postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jr doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Uno holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jr prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jr is trying to break the clinch but Uno has him pressed against the cage.
Jr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Uno smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomo Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Uno has Jr up against the cage in a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Uno pulls guard successfully.
Tomo Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
No Uno is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

No Uno comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Uno has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
