Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Sokolov (ranked 2415 p4p, 312 weight class) and Jesse Marciano (ranked 7923 p4p, 663 weight class). Sokolov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bapki -Zoo in Space. Alexei Sokolov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse Marciano!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov takes one to the side of the head.

Sokolov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Marciano is looking to get back to his feet here but Sokolov is keeping cool and he's managed to take Marciano's back.

Sokolov is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Marciano has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sokolov has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Marciano taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sokolov doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexei Sokolov!
A relieved looking Alexei Sokolov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
