The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland shoots in looking for a takedown. Fresh tries to sprawl out of it but Kirkland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fresh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fresh throws a head kick that misses.

Kirkland tries to keep at a distance but Fresh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Fresh decides to pull guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kirkland accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fresh is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kirkland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kirkland dives in and grabs Fresh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fresh pushes down on Kirkland's head and hops out.
Fresh jabs Kirkland right on the nose. Kirkland blinks but takes it well.
Fresh lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fresh misses with a few strikes there.
Kirkland went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kirkland misses with a takedown attempt - Fresh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fresh drops Kirkland with a beautiful combination! Kirkland stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fresh is looking for the KO!

Fresh drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Kirkland right on the button. Kirkland goes down! Fresh follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Fresh gets the win via TKO!
