Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Demetrious Saint Pierre (ranked 5044 p4p, 411 weight class) and Roronoa Soro (ranked 4461 p4p, 377 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saint Pierre is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Soro is aware though and is defending well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Soro working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Saint Pierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Soro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Saint Pierre sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well Soro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
