Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Whitfield (ranked 25103 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Boi (ranked 6247 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Boi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Boi!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Boi drives through with a takedown into Whitfield's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Whitfield being controlled here, momentarily.

Whitfield keeping moving, preventing Boi from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boi wants to stand but Whitfield has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Whitfield is working an open guard so Boi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Boi attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Boi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whitfield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Boi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Whitfield has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Whitfield is trying to get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Whitfield's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Whitfield tries to buck Boi off but Boi is having none of it.

Boi decides to stand back up.
Boi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Whitfield's hands.
Whitfield really is a fat lump.

Whitfield drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Whitfield is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Whitfield is trying to drag Boi to the mat but Boi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Boi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Whitfield was covering up waiting for the punch and Boi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Boi closes the distance and pushes Whitfield back into the cage.
Whitfield tries to score a body lock takedown but Boi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Boi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Whitfield or not.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boi jumps into guard, dragging Whitfield to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Boi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boi showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Boi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Whitfield to the mat! Whitfield manages to get full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Whitfield might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Boi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Boi is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Whitfield!

Let's hope that Boi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Boi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Whitfield is looking to escape.
Big Boi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Big Boi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Boi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Whitfield napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Boi stands up and we're back to a striking position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Whitfield enables Boi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whitfield manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boi wants to clinch up but Whitfield keeps it at a distance.

Boi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boi lands in his opponent's guard.

Whitfield is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Boi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Big Boi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
