PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Slevin (ranked 2989 p4p, 96 weight class) and Tetsuya Shiroo (ranked 4033 p4p, 138 weight class). Slevin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, timber. Shiroo has chosen The Gazette / Filth In The Beauty as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Slevin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tetsuya Shiroo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiroo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Slevin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Shiroo clinches with his opponent.
Slevin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shiroo walks away with a smile on his face. Slevin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Shiroo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slevin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shiroo doesn't manage to clinch there - Slevin circles away.
Shiroo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shiroo misses with a left hand
and Slevin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tetsuya Shiroo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
