PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 530 p4p, 74 weight class) and Mack Branco (ranked 546 p4p, 80 weight class). Branco has chosen Stranglehold as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker gets a clinch.

Parker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Parker gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Parker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Branco takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Branco takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Mack Branco has been cut.
Parker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Parker throws a leg kick which misses Branco's front leg but catches the back leg as Branco tries to avoid it.
Parker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Parker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Branco can do to turn this around?

Branco fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Parker manages to avoid it.

Branco jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Branco gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Parker looks to throw the jab but Branco is out of range.
Branco let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Branco tries to pull guard but Parker forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Parker.
Branco has a couple of punches blocked by Parker.
Branco lands a right hand.
Parker tries to work over Branco's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Branco blocks an uppercut.
Branco misses with a hook to the ribs.
Branco fails to pull guard.
Peter Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Branco.
Branco is working Parker over against the cage.
Parker misses with the head strike.
Parker swings wildly with an uppercut but Branco uses good head movement to avoid it.
Parker lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Branco backwards.
Branco doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Branco lands a left hand.
Branco misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Branco digs a right hand into Parker's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Parker's gas tank.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Parker is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Branco pulls guard effortlessly.
Parker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Branco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parker is one step ahead there.
Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Branco is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Parker frees his head nicely. Oh but Branco has switched to an armbar! Parker is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
