Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Augie (ranked 653 p4p, 76 weight class) and Barney Rumble (ranked 1031 p4p, 120 weight class). Rumble comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Queens of the Stone Age - My God is the Sun kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

A nice side step and Rumble releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Rumble pushes off an throws an elbow but Augie leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Rumble pushes Augie back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rumble stops a takedown attempt from Augie.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Augie has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rumble is trying to keep an underhook but Augie manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Augie is stalling here. Rumble is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Augie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rumble has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Rumble tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rumble has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rumble felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Augie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
