Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kojito Yamate (ranked 8392 p4p, 732 weight class) and Jeff Green (ranked 4971 p4p, 578 weight class). Green is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kendrick Lamar - Humble. Jeff Green is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kojito Yamate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Green!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamate takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Yamate goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Green throws a nice looking combination but Yamate bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Green moves out of range as Yamate throws a body kick.
Green showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yamate.
Yamate feints and then cracks Green's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Green down.
Yamate tries to close the distance and clinch but Green swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Green has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Yamate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamate tries to land a front kick but Green steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Yamate fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Green takes a swing at Yamate's ribcage but misses.

That kick from Yamate tenderised Green's leg. Green is trying to keep his angry face on.

Yamate looks for the body kick but Green saw that one coming.
Green is trying to counter with his kicks.

Yamate throws a sloppy head kick and Green moves out of range easily.

Green clinches up with Yamate and pushes him back against the cage.
Green effectively controlling the action here.

Green jumps into guard, dragging Yamate to the mat.

Green wriggles free and stands up.

Yamate seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Yamate dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Green. That did some damage!
Green blocks a head kick by Yamate.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yamate tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Green manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Yamate goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Yamate moves out of range of the leg kick from Green.
Yamate looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Yamate looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Green clinches.

Yamate is fighting off a takedown attempt but Green is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yamate to the mat. Yamate regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Green working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Green lands a couple of elbows.
Green is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Green stands up over Yamate, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Green slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Green stands up and waves to Yamate to follow him.
Yamate scoring well with a low kick there.
Green throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Green manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yamate on his heels. He'll look to pass Yamate's guard now, I'm sure.
Yamate on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yamate tries to get out of the position.

Green gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Green pushes Yamate up against the cage in a clinch.

Yamate goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Green gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Green forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yamate tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control.
Green is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Green controlling the action here.

Green maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Yamate could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Green has cracked it and Yamate is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Green!
