The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie Slaughter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ash looks to throw the jab but Gracie Slaughter is out of range.

Adam Ash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renilio Gracie Slaughter.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ash trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie Slaughter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie Slaughter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ash doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ash manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Ash has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gracie Slaughter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ash is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gracie Slaughter pulls down on the head and he's put Ash to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Renilio Gracie Slaughter!
A very excited looking Renilio Gracie Slaughter rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
