Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caeas Liege (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liege's entrance music is Mausum & Escape. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liege takes one to the chin there.
Costa tries for a takedown but Liege sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Douglas Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Liege has gone for a leg lock! Costa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Liege's guard.
Costa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Liege has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Costa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Costa stands up and we're back to a striking position.

so Liege counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Costa has his feet on Liege's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Costa has closed the distance and engaged Liege in a clinch.
Liege is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That was a close round but I would say that Caeas Liege will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Costa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Liege closes the distance and clinches up with Costa, looking for a takedown. Liege pushes Costa against the cage but Costa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Costa is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Liege tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Costa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Liege is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Costa has his hands clasped together but Liege extends an breaks Costa's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Liege.
