Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lowell Bockert (ranked 8909 p4p, 280 weight class) and Lee Jung Park (ranked 7580 p4p, 262 weight class). Lee Jung Park will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lowell Bockert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Jung Park!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bockert fails with the takedown.
Park appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Bockert has his takedown stuffed
and Park counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bockert tries for a takedown but Park circles away easily
and Park counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Bockert shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Park sprawls well. Park wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bockert gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Park counters with a crisp one two that drops Bockert! Park thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bockert to his feet! Bockert is in big trouble!
Bockert goes for a double leg but Park avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Park continues to drive forward.
Park drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bockert defends it well.

Horrible takedown attempt by Bockert or perhaps it was just good defense by Park, which made it look bad.

Bockert tries to score a power double leg takedown but Park sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bockert somewhat.

Park doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Park is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bockert rather than just go for the knockout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bockert shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Park but Park pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bockert shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Park pinned against the cage. Park gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Park now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Park unleashes a big counter combination but Bockert bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bockert is defended easily by Park.
Park changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

As Bockert backs off Park throws a huge counter combo but Bockert manages to avoid it all.
Bockert gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Park counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bockert's knee momentarily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lee Jung Park showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Park jumps guard and drags Bockert to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Park wants to get back to his feet but Bockert is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Park controlling the position.
Bockert stops Park from standing up.
Bockert is looking to work some ground and pound but Park has wrist control.

Bockert content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Park has locked up a guillotine! Park's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bockert is holding on here and Park must be using up a lot of energy. Bockert has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Park gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Lee Jung Park!
During a confident post fight interview, Lee Jung Park thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
