Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between harrison obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shiro Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

obama is looking for a kimura but Yamada is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for obama to get the leverage.
Yamada flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

obama moves nicely into side control.
obama creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Yamada is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
obama wants to free his trapped foot but Yamada is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Yamada swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and obama counters by clinching up.

obama ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. obama no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Yamada stands up from obama's guard - Yamada perhaps looking for a knockout.

obama shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
obama avoids the attempt from Yamada to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

obama is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Yamada has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Yamada tries to lock up and control but obama gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
