Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Norris Flores (ranked 24945 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Jefferies (ranked 7148 p4p, 670 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Norris Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Jefferies!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferies pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jason Jefferies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flores keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jefferies throws a sloppy head kick and Flores moves out of range easily.
Flores is looking to counter the offense by Jefferies and move into the clinch.
Jefferies looks for a takedown but Flores sprawls well.
It looked like Flores was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jefferies closes the distance and clinches up with Flores, looking for a takedown. Jefferies pushes Flores against the cage but Flores circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Flores looks to move to half guard but instead Jefferies has passed into mount! Damn!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Flores is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Jefferies looking to control but Flores is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Jefferies is taking a breather. Flores says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Flores is not content to let Jefferies control the position.

Flores gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Flores avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jefferies wants to sweep here but Flores controlling him for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jason Jefferies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Flores displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jefferies throws out the jab.
Jefferies tries to land a front kick but Flores steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Flores swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Flores is not content to let Jefferies control the position.

You can see the frustration on Flores's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Flores is looking to regain half guard here but Jefferies keeps moving and retains side control.
Jefferies tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Jefferies lands a decent elbow from side control.
Flores can't do much from the bottom here.
The ground and pound from Jefferies seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Flores looks up at the clock and then as Jefferies takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Flores smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jefferies is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Flores off and has taken his back!

Jefferies has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Flores has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flores is trying to get back to his feet but Jefferies has full control of the position and if anything, Flores has just worked his way into a worse spot.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Norris Flores.
I think Jefferies has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
