The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Tomar has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cory McDonnell will probably get the nod.

That kick from McDonnell tenderised Tomar's leg. Tomar is trying to keep his angry face on.

McDonnell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McDonnell throws the kick towards the body but Tomar avoids it.
Tomar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McDonnell throws out the jab.
Tomar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tomar connects with a good right hand that stumbles McDonnell. McDonnell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McDonnell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tomar can pounce on him.
McDonnell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Tomar throws a big shot that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McDonnell tries to score with a low kick but Tomar moves his leg out of the way.
Tomar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McDonnell has time to react.
McDonnell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tomar checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

McDonnell wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That's time! McDonnell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

McDonnell jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Tomar scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McDonnell looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

McDonnell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tomar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McDonnell - the referee stops the clock and Tomar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McDonnell. Tomar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oglek Tomar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tomar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
