Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rollo Gracie (ranked 387 p4p, 45 weight class) and Michael Carter (ranked 738 p4p, 88 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Jiu Jitsu: Apaga Mas Não Bate blaring out of the sound system. Carter has chosen Jazz Cartier - Dead or Alive as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Rollo Gracie has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rollo Gracie seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gracie on the side of the head.
Gracie connects with a single shot there.
We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Carter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Carter wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Gracie seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Carter is tapping! Wow, great finish!

A very excited looking Rollo Gracie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
