Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Lunar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lunar lands a head kick!
Lunar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robinson stuns Lunar with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Robinson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lunar misses the jab.
Lunar throws a nice head kick!
A good leg kick by Robinson.
Lunar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lunar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robinson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lunar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lunar gets caught flat footed, as Robinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lunar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Robinson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Robinson trying to control but Lunar is working from the bottom.
Lunar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Robinson controls the pace.
Robinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Lunar is retaining full guard.
Robinson wants to control from the top but Lunar keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Robinson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lunar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Robinson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lunar uses it to pass to side control.

Robinson is looking for a sweep.

Lunar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lunar tries to advance to mount but Robinson denies him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lucas Lunar will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Robinson works Lunar's body with a nice hook.
Lunar lands with a thumping leg kick.
Robinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lunar.
Robinson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Robinson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Robinson duly obliges.
Robinson just misses with a punch to the body.
Lunar misses with a head kick.

Robinson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Robinson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lunar is trying desperately to improve position.
Robinson looking to control but Lunar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Lunar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lunar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson content just to control the position here.

Robinson is working for a guillotine from mount but Lunar frees his head quite easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Robinson controlling from mount.
Lunar wants to hold on but Robinson pushes him away.
Robinson misses with a head shot.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Robinson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Robinson avoids the attempt from Lunar to control.

Robinson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Robinson tries to control but Lunar wriggling away.
Lunar tries to reverse the position but Robinson maintains control.
Robinson trying to control but Lunar is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lunar slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Lunar is looking to control Robinson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lunar avoid being mounted?

Rick Robinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Robinson misses with a straight left.

Robinson fails to land the takedown.
Lunar misses with a looping left.
Lunar throws a leg kick

and Robinson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lunar!

Lunar looking very determined here, making life difficult for Robinson.
Lunar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Lunar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Robinson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lunar covering up well and avoiding damage.
Robinson is looking to control Lunar but Lunar is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Lunar breaks Robinson's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rick Robinson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robinson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lunar.

Lunar avoids the body shot from Robinson.
Robinson throws a hook but Lunar avoids it easily.
