Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Smith (ranked 8572 p4p, 743 weight class) and Ivan Durak (ranked 9809 p4p, 790 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Durak does no damage.
We've been hearing reports that Smith has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Durak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Smith landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Durak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith scores with punches from side control.
Durak seems a little lost for a moment, as Smith dominates the positioning.
Smith has hold of Durak's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Durak tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smith cranks the arm and Durak screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Durak, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
