The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathstroke looks to land a right hand but Liaw moved out of range.
Liaw swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Deathstroke has taken the fight to the clinch.

Deathstroke jumps into guard, dragging Liaw to the mat.
Deathstroke looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Deathstroke controls Liaw momentarily but Liaw frees himself.

Deathstroke looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Liaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deathstroke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liaw has managed to get both his arms back between Deathstroke's legs - danger averted.
Liaw trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Deathstroke manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liaw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liaw tries to get out of the position.
