Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arden Holman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Goliath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Goliath will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goliath gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Goliath pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Goliath has Holman up against the cage in a clinch.
Goliath has Holman pressed against the cage, preventing Holman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Goliath gets control of Holman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Goliath will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Goliath manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Holman manages to get himself to full guard.

Goliath stands up and waves to Holman to follow him.

Holman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goliath to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Holman uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Goliath gets caught flat footed, as Holman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Goliath has his feet on Holman's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Goliath rushes Holman and presses him up against the cage.

Holman breaks the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Goliath darts in and clinches Holman up against the cage.

Holman breaks from the clinch.

Goliath scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Holman pushes Goliath off but Goliath dives into side control.

Holman throws Goliath to one side and escapes!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Holman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

It looks like Arden Holman has been cut.

Holman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Goliath gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Holman wants to get back to his feet.
Goliath seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Holman is breathing heavily.
Holman trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Goliath manages to pass to mount!
Goliath avoids the attempt from Holman to control.

Goliath is standing up, even though he is in mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Holman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goliath tries to avoid it but Holman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goliath to the ground. Goliath escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Goliath throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Goliath dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Holman is trying to break the clinch but Goliath has him pressed against the cage.
