Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Templeton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trey Templeton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Berger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trey Templeton!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Berger.

Berger pushes Templeton up against the cage in a clinch.
Berger has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Templeton after a bit of a struggle.

Templeton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Berger is looking for a triangle but Templeton pushes his legs off easily.

Templeton gets to his feet - Berger follows without any prompting.
Berger lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Templeton throws a series of punches but Berger moves out of range.
Trey Templeton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Berger makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Templeton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Berger to the ground. Templeton is now in Berger's guard.

Templeton gets to his feet - Berger follows without any prompting.

Berger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Berger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Templeton's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Templeton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Templeton manages to end up in side control.

Templeton manages to pull guard.
Berger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Berger will probably get the nod.

Templeton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Templeton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

and Templeton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Templeton looks to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Templeton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Templeton stands up and beckons Berger to his feet.
Berger misses with a low kick.
Templeton's corner calls for a 1-2. Templeton obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Templeton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Berger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Trey Templeton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Templeton gets tackled into the cage by Berger. Berger maintains the clinch.

Templeton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Berger can't fight it off and eventually Templeton manages to take the fight to the floor. Berger looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Berger has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Templeton is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Templeton stands and throws Berger's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Berger is pushing Templeton's head away, looking to escape. Templeton manages to hold on to the position though.
Templeton lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Templeton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Berger has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Templeton uses from the top position.

Berger is staying active underneath Templeton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

I would just about give that final round to Trey Templeton.
I think Templeton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
