And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eugenio Antonio!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antonio goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Antonio! But no joy.
Bay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Antonio looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bay uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Antonio.
Nice body punch from Bay.

Bay closes the distance and clinches.
Antonio lands with a light punch inside.
A body shot lands from Bay.

Bay manages to pull guard.
Antonio trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bay's guard.
Bay wants to stand and escape but Antonio is having none of it.

Bay uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Bay moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Antonio missing with a left hand there. Bay was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Bay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Antonio manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Antonio is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bay has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bay connects with a couple of short punches.
Bay distracts Antonio with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Antonio gets to his feet. Bay looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bay changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Antonio fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bay shoots in and drives through. Antonio sprawls well.

Antonio tries to land a front kick but Bay steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Bay closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bay connects with a nice short shot to Antonio's temple.

Antonio has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bay is on him like a limpet, forcing Antonio back against the cage.

Bay misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Antonio lands a shoulder strike.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Antonio digs a right hand into Bay's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bay's gas tank.
Antonio prevents the takedown attempt.
Bay is breathing heavily.
Antonio gets through Bay's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Antonio lands a left hand.
Antonio lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Antonio lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bay backwards.
Antonio lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bay backwards.
Antonio lands a shot to the body.
Antonio lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bay backwards.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Antonio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Antonio sends Bay crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Antonio is motioning to the referee to let Bay up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Bay is still looking wobbly from the end of the last round!


It looks like Hello Bay has been cut.

Bay gets the takedown into side control.

Antonio throws Bay to one side and escapes!

Bay moves in looking to clinch but Antonio pushes him off.
Antonio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Antonio wants it to stay on the feet.
Eugenio Antonio seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Antonio and Bay are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Antonio throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Bay into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Antonio knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eugenio Antonio!
Eugenio Antonio is the new super heavyweight champion!
