Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Fredericks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Bisping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bisping comes into a darkened arena with his song building. New York kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bisping takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fredericks throws a right hand that Bisping ducks under and follows up with a left that Bisping also avoids with ease.

Fredericks gets the takedown into side control.
Bisping prevents Fredericks from improving position.
Bisping gets back to half guard.
Bisping wants to control but Fredericks is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bisping flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Fredericks is trying to work for a kimura but Bisping is defending well.
Fredericks content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Bisping looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fredericks wants to control but Bisping is keeping him busy.

Fredericks is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bisping defends it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bisping wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fredericks keeps working.
Bisping is controlling the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fredericks avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bisping.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big right from Fredericks misses.
Bisping tries to clinch up but Fredericks circles away and keeps his distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Fredericks will probably get the nod.

Bisping tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fredericks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bisping gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fredericks makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fredericks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bisping.

Fredericks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bisping!
Fredericks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bisping on the ground.
Bisping regains half guard.
Bisping is looking to improve his position.
Fredericks is keen to just control but Bisping is a slippery customer.
Bisping wants to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bisping moves in looking to clinch but Fredericks pushes him off.

Fredericks shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bisping as he jumps to the side.

No joy there for Bisping, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Fredericks counters with a left and a right that stings Bisping.

and Fredericks counters with a body kick that stops Bisping in his tracks momentarily.
Joe Fredericks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Bisping.

Bisping has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fredericks is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bisping yanks on the arm and Fredericks is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bisping.
