Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lauren Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Lesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dusty Lesley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lauren Gill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dusty Lesley!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesley connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Lesley takes the fight into the clinch.

Gill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lesley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Lesley has managed to clinch.
Gill's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Gill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lesley looks to land a combination. Gill sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Lesley has Gill up against the cage in a clinch.
Gill letting Lesley take a breather here.
Gill looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Gill is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lesley is defending well for now.
Gill wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lesley misses with a hook to the ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lesley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gill moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gill drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lesley sprawls and moves away.
Lesley keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Gill feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gill postures up in Lesley's guard and throws a big left but Lesley blocks it.
Gill is working Lesley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gill wants to pass the guard but Lesley is keeping the position.

Gill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lesley is fighting to break Gill's control of his arms but Gill is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lesley wants to stand but Gill has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lesley defends well.
Dusty Lesley has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lesley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gill is on top in guard.

Lesley has Gill pulled in close to control his posture.

Lesley tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gill presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Gill lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lesley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lesley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lesley is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lesley wants to hold on but Gill pushes him away.

Lesley wants to control but Gill is having none of it.

Gill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gill cracks Lesley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Gill breaks from Lesley's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Gill has control of Lesley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lesley regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gill is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lesley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lesley tries to lock up and control but Gill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lesley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lesley wants to control but Gill is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lesley tries to get to full guard but Gill has control of the leg.
Lesley looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gill looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lesley is looking for a sweep. Gill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gill fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lesley wants to hold on but Gill pushes him away.
Gill lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Lesley tries to lock up and control but Gill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gill is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lesley can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

And that's the end of the fight!
