Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ice Cube (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Tisdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tisdale has chosen Breathe-The Prodigy as his entrance music. Ice Cube has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cube feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tisdale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cube. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tisdale is looking to stand up but Cube isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cube changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tisdale looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cube is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tisdale is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Tisdale pushes Cube away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cube gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cube misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Tisdale's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Tisdale bucks Cube off and manages to get back to his feet!

Cube uses his free foot to push down on Tisdale's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tisdale.

Cube has hold of Tisdale's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tisdale manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
