The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butabi throws a jab but it's blocked by Hudgens.
Hudgens gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Butabi counters by moving into the clinch.
Hudgens wants to take the fight to the mat but Butabi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Butabi lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Butabi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hudgenss head.
Butabi tries to work over Hudgens's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hudgens tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Butabi smiles and moves away.
Steve Butabi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaime Hudgens.
Butabi just misses with a punch to the body.
Hudgens is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Butabi with a body shot.
Butabi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hudgens tries a low kick but Butabi avoids it.
Butabi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hudgens lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Steve Butabi has been cut.
Butabi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Butabi takes a swing at Hudgens's ribcage but misses.
Butabi cracks Hudgens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Butabi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hudgens, pushing him back against the cage.

Hudgens shoots in but Butabi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steve Butabi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hudgens bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Butabi comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Hudgens falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Hudgens was out before he hit the floor!
