Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Misha Grin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes into the arena with Pride Theme blaring out of the sound system. Emelianenko has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Misha Grin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Emelianenko but Emelianenko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Emelianenko is breathing heavily.

Emelianenko tries to keep at a distance but Grin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Grin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Emelianenko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Grin is looking for a sweep. Emelianenko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Grin rushes Emelianenko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Emelianenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grin has him pressed against the cage.
Grin lands an elbow inside that Emelianenko shrugs off.
Emelianenko is pressed up against the cage. Grin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Emelianenko down to the mat. Emelianenko avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Grin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Emelianenko has one foot on Grin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Grin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
