Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abraham Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sergio Andrade!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrade throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Owens counters with a left and a right that stings Andrade.
Owens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Andrade gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Owens content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Owens tries to stand but Andrade is controlling from the bottom.
Owens throws an elbow that misses. Andrade uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Owens's guard. Nice move by Andrade!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Andrade wants to stand but Owens is controlling his posture from full guard.
Owens looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Andrade has picked Owens up and slammed him! Owens can't keep hold of the triangle and Andrade manages to pass to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrade wants to control but Owens is keeping him busy.

Andrade wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Owens, who protects the arm well.
Owens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Andrade looks up at the clock and then as Owens takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Andrade smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Owens is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Andrade has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Owens tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Owens is wriggling around trying to escape.
Andrade looking to control but Owens is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Owens is in a horrible position here. Andrade smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Owens is rocked!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Owens tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Andrade postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Owens bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Andrade and the fight is over!
