Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Nerlinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alastair Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alastair Dunn was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl Nerlinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alastair Dunn!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nerlinger.
Dunn moves out of range as Nerlinger strikes.
Nerlinger takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dunn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nerlinger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Dunn counters with a takedown into side control.
Nerlinger manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Nerlinger is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Nerlinger is working hard here to advance position.
Nerlinger makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nerlinger.
Dunn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dunn working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Dunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Nerlinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nerlinger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dunn is one step ahead there.
Dunn postures up in Nerlinger's guard and throws a big left but Nerlinger blocks it.

Nerlinger keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully.

Nerlinger is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Dunn has his hands clasped together but Nerlinger extends and breaks Dunn's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nerlinger.
