Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elof Jurgs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tech Nine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jurgs might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Swords of thy Elf. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tech Nine!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nine drives through with a takedown into Jurgs's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Nine wants to control from the top but Jurgs keeps moving.
Jurgs looking for a sweep. Not yet Jurgs, not yet.
Jurgs seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Nine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jurgs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nine postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
My spies in Cozad MMA New York inform me that Nine has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Jurgs pulls Nine in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jurgs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jurgs wants to sweep here but Nine controlling him for the moment.
Jurgs is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Nine won't allow Jurgs to sweep him here.
Nine looking to sit in guard and control but Jurgs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jurgs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jurgs has managed to get both his arms back between Nine's legs - danger averted.
Nine is trying to keep Jurgs in close.

Nine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jurgs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jurgs lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Jurgs distracts Nine with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jurgs works over Nine with some ground and pound from guard.
Jurgs is in close to Nine's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Jurgs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Nine is rocked!
Jurgs stands up over Nine, holding on to his feet. Jurgs throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Nine is out cold! Jurgs lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Elof Jurgs!
Elof Jurgs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
