Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Menezes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Qhorin Halfhand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halfhand has chosen Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Menezes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Qhorin Halfhand!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halfhand ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Qhorin Halfhand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menezes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Menezes takes a swing at Halfhand's ribcage but misses.
Menezes has Halfhand up against the cage in a clinch.
Halfhand blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Halfhand manages to break the clinch.
Halfhand keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Halfhand throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Menezes.
Halfhand throws a body punch but Menezes moves out of range.
Halfhand cracks Menezes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Menezes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Halfhand finish him?
It looks like Gabriel Menezes has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Halfhand looks to land a combination but Menezes avoids it well.
Halfhand has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Halfhand falls off balance throwing a combination
and Menezes counters with a straight right hand.
Halfhand throws a right and a left that Menezes avoids nicely.
Menezes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Halfhand stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Halfhand throws a lazy right hand but Menezes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Menezes punishes Halfhand's body with a nice straight punch.
Halfhand fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Menezes on the side of the head.
Menezes is rocked!
Menezes glances at the clock... BAM! Halfhand nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Menezes crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Menezes is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Qhorin Halfhand!
