Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dabbart Younger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Younger has managed to clinch.

Hale has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Younger uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Younger is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hale is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hale has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hale stays in close to Younger's body and controls the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Younger is looking for a triangle but Hale pushes his legs off easily.

Younger is working an open guard so Hale takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Younger enables Hale to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Younger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hale drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hale jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hale has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hale seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
