Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boyka's choice of entrance music: Powertool. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andrey Boyka was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burks but Burks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Burks pushes Boyka up against the cage in a clinch.
Burks decides to pull guard.
Burks controlling Boyka's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyka throwing strikes from guard but Burks blocks nicely.
Boyka won't allow Burks to get back to his feet.

Boyka throws a big right hand that misses.
Boyka has gone for a leg lock! Burks slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boyka's guard.
Boyka wants to hit a switch here but Burks passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Boyka there!

Boyka tries to reverse the position but Burks maintains control.

Burks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boyka bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Boyka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boyka, into his guard.
Boyka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burks defends well.
Boyka told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Boyka controls Burks momentarily but Burks frees himself.
Burks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boyka, up you get!
Boyka tries for a takedown but Burks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burks wants to clinch.
Burks rushes Boyka and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Burks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boyka is fighting off a takedown attempt but Burks is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boyka to the mat. Boyka regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boyka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Burks controls the pace.

Boyka wants to stand but Burks is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boyka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burks is fending him off so far but Boyka persists. Nope, Burks circles away and we're back to standing.
Boyka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burks as he jumps to the side.

Boyka shoots for a double leg takedown but Burks sprawls well. He's pushed Boyka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nicky Burks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrey Boyka.
Burks rushes Boyka and presses him up against the cage.
Burks tightens his grip and picks Boyka up, before dumping him to the ground. Boyka manages to land in guard.
Burks controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Burks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boyka, up you get!
Burks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Burks moves into the clinch successfully.
Burks fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Boyka trying to stall but Burks improves his position.
Burks slowing the pace effectively.
Burks manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Burks has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Boyka clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would not like to be Boyka right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Boyka shoots and misses
and Burks counters with a series of strikes. Boyka will be more careful next time no doubt.
Burks tries to clinch but Boyka moves out of range.
Boyka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Burks did well to prevent Boyka getting side control.
