Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Tsoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Ng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tsoi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Zvezda po Imeni Solnce. Ng has chosen Wedlock - I'm The Fuck You Man as his entrance music. Charles Ng has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Viktor Tsoi's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ng misses with a series of wild punches.
Tsoi moves out of range of the strikes.
Tsoi is looking to counter punch.
Ng scores with a three punch combo!
Ng has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tsoi is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tsoi scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ng throws a series of punches but Tsoi moves out of range.
Tsoi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Tsoi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tsoi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ng has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tsoi throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That kick from Tsoi tenderised Ng's leg. Ng is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ng fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tsoi.

Tsoi feints and as Ng raises his hands in defense, Tsoi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ng is trying to keep Tsoi in close.
Tsoi wants to pass the guard but Ng is keeping the position.
Tsoi passes Ng's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tsoi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Tsoi is looking to stall here but Ng recovers full guard.

Ng working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tsoi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tsoi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ng escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsoi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ng had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tsoi defends it easily.

Ng looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tsoi passes into side control.

Tsoi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ng keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ng can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tsoi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ng, who protects the arm well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ng takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Tsoi has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Ng throws a right hand that Tsoi ducks under and follows up with a left that Tsoi also avoids with ease.
Tsoi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Charles Ng seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tsoi throws a good cross that connects.
Tsoi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ng.
Tsoi throws a low kick but Ng moves out of range easily.
Tsoi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ng's hands.
Tsoi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ng walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tsoi's corner calls for a 1-2. Tsoi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Viktor Tsoi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tsoi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
