The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catchmaer avoids the body shot from Nielsen.
Catchmaer appears to be looking for a big counter.
Catchmaer tries to close the distance and clinch but Nielsen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nielsen thuds his right hand into Catchmaer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nielsen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Catchmaer.
Nielsen slips a straight right by Catchmaer.
Catchmaer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nielsen back to the cage. Catchmaer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Catchmaer throws a hook to the side of Nielsen's head but Nielsen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nielsen moves out of range as Catchmaer strikes.
Catchmaer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Catchmaer throws a good cross that connects.
Nielsen takes a swing at Catchmaer's ribcage but misses.
Catchmaer misses with a hook. Nielsen ducked under it nicely.
Nielsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Catchmaer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nielsen on the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Catchmaer wants to land a leg kick but Nielsen is out of range.
Catchmaer connects with a crisp jab.

Catchmaer misses with a low kick as Nielsen jumps back.
Nielsen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Catchmaer defends it well.
Nielsen lands a right hook to the body.
Catchmaer goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nielsen scores with a shot to the body.
Catchmaer misses with a hook. Nielsen ducked under it nicely.

Nice combo by Nielsen! Oh, that's hurt him - Catchmaer falls to the canvas and Nielsen follows him into side control.

It looks like Gabryel Catchmaer has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nielsen is staying tight to Catchmaer's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Nielsen in side control, throwing shots but Catchmaer defends.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
