Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Coath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taiga Jim!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've been told by Coath's head coaches at Heavy Metal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jim checks a low kick from Coath.
Jim fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coath manages to avoid it.
Jim blocks a jab.
Coath digs a good hook to Jim's body.
Jim takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Coath fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jim.
Jim walks into a straight right hand from Coath.
Coath throws a chopping leg kick but Jim manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Coath throws a series of punches but Jim avoids them all with ease.
Jim tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Coath lands a glancing blow to the side of Jim's head.
Coath ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Coath was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jim.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jim gets tackled into the cage by Coath. Coath maintains the clinch.
Jim pushes Coath back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Coath's corner calls for a 1-2. Coath obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Coath comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Coath connects with a single shot there.


Jim is rocked!
Chris Coath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jim throws a body punch but Coath moves out of range.
Jim slips a jab from Coath.
Coath misses with a straight left.
Jim lands a body shot.
Jim takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Coath cracks Jim with a right hand to the side of the head.

Jim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coath.
Coath lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jim has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chris Coath spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
