Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary The Reaper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Crusadar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gary The Reaper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackie Silver!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Reaper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The Reaper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Silver.
Silver thuds a left hand into The Reaper's body.
The Reaper takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Silver tries to keep at a distance but The Reaper has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silver struggles to land a body shot inside as The Reaper controls his hands.
Silver tries to work over The Reaper's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Silver wants to break free but The Reaper has control.
The Reaper misses with a short punch on the inside.
Silver tries to circle away but The Reaper has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Reaper misses with a punch on the inside.
Silver lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Silver looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Silver tries to break free but The Reaper pushes him back against the cage.

The Reaper is working for takedown but Silver is calmly controlling the position for now.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silver creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for The Reaper.
Silver wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The Reaper wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary The Reaper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Silver's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The Reaper misses with a hook to the ribs.
Silver blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The Reaper goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The Reaper tries a body shot but Silver blocks it.
The Reaper misses with a punch to the body.
The Reaper lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
The Reaper is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silver gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The Reaper keeps control of Silver as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The Reaper misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The Reaper gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The Reaper looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. The Reaper lands a nice short elbow.
Silver is looking for a sweep. The Reaper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silver is trying to stand up here but The Reaper is controlling him well.
Silver is trying to control but can't.
Silver throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The Reaper is nestled in close to Silver, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Reaper lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The Reaper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Silver tries to kick The Reaper off but The Reaper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The Reaper is working for a kimura but Silver is defending it quite comfortably.
Silver wants to get back to his feet.

The Reaper moves nicely into side control.
The Reaper looks up at the clock and then as Silver takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, The Reaper smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The Reaper cracks Silver with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The Reaper advances nicely into full mount.

Silver is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The Reaper looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Silver is in a horrible position here. The Reaper smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silver can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Reaper has hold of Silver's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silver manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silver is trying desperately to improve position.

The Reaper jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Silver manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Silver felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The Reaper has hold of Silver's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silver seems comfortable defending it but The Reaper has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silver is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silver is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but The Reaper couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gary The Reaper!
A very excited looking Gary The Reaper made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
