The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado connects with a right hand. Bender shakes it off.

It looks like Lucien Bender has been cut.

Machado feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bender sprawling to the canvas! Bender rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Machado finish him?!

Bender is rocked!

Machado moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Bender is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are playing wrist control here with Bender pressed against the cage. Machado frees himself up and cracks Bender with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Bender crumples to the floor, out cold! Machado jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!

Ricardo Machado was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
