And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Curtis Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goat gets a double leg takedown into Johnson's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Johnson holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goat cracks Johnson with a solid left hand.
Goat with a nice head shot there.
Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Johnson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Goat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Johnson defends it easily.
Goat is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson advances to half guard.
Goat slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Goat is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goat lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Goat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Goat throws a sloppy strike and Johnson has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Goat is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Johnson!

After winning the bout, Curtis Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
