Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apple shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Apple manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gracie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Apple knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Apple is breathing heavily.
Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
More stalling from Gracie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Apple misses with a wild body shot.

Apple gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Gracie.
Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Gracie has hold of Apple's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Apple tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Apple screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Apple, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
