PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sara McSlamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Prime might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rich Boy - Boy Looka Here . Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sara McSlamm enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Optimus Prime!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sara McSlamm!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime misses with a combination

and McSlamm counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Prime!
Prime gets back to half guard.
Prime is not content to let McSlamm control the position.
McSlamm looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McSlamm throws a strike but Prime avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
McSlamm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McSlamm looking to sit in guard and control but Prime gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Prime is working McSlamm over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Prime scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McSlamm is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McSlamm throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Prime to regain full guard.

Prime keeping moving, preventing McSlamm from controlling successfully.

McSlamm makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McSlamm loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McSlamm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Prime works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McSlamm is in close to Prime's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
McSlamm will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Oooooh!!! Prime has knocked McSlamm down with a huge combo! Prime steps away and waves a wobbly McSlamm back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Sara McSlamm has been cut.
Prime throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McSlamm on the side of the head.
Prime misses with an uppercut.
Nice cross by Prime.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Prime connects with an inside leg kick.
Prime will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McSlamm now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Prime.
Prime ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McSlamm moves away.
McSlamm thinks about the counter body kick.
Prime misses with a wild combination.
McSlamm feints the counter takedown.
McSlamm sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Prime slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Optimus Prime dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sara McSlamm's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


McSlamm throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Prime stuffs the takedown.
McSlamm avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Prime. Those never looked like landing.
Prime throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by McSlamm or perhaps it was just good defense by Prime, which made it look bad.

McSlamm fails with a takedown attempt.
Optimus Prime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sara McSlamm.
McSlamm avoids the body shot from Prime.

Prime connects with a body shot that sends McSlamm's belly button to the back.

Prime cracks McSlamm with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McSlamm looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Prime finish him?
Prime scores with a hook to the body. McSlamm takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McSlamm is breathing heavily.
Prime misses with a few strikes there.
McSlamm tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Optimus Prime is winning the standup battle so far.
Prime lands with a nice combination. McSlamm backs away looking to recover.
Optimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McSlamm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Prime.
McSlamm appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Prime swings for the body but McSlamm moves out of range.
Prime lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as McSlamm crumples to the floor! Prime milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Optimus Prime!
Our winner, Optimus Prime, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Sara McSlamm spoke after the fight, saying 'I made a mental error. when your flipping a burger thats not a big deal. you dont go to the hospital after forgetting to put the pickle on it... I gotta heal up but ill be back.'.
