Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rudy Gay!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Ekaku!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay tries a head kick but it misses.
Rudy Gay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ekaku throws a nice looking combination but Gay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gay connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gay seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ekaku takes one on the button.
Ekaku misses with a two punch combination.
Ekaku avoids a kick to the body.
Gay cracks Ekaku with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gay digs a good body shot into Ekaku's ribs.
Ekaku throws a series of punches but Gay avoids them all with ease.
Ekaku uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gay.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ekaku! But no joy.

A little jabbing left from Ekaku on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Ekaku counters with a stiff right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ekaku throws a hook but Gay avoids it easily.

and Gay counters with a straight right hand.

Gay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gay is looking to clinch.
Gay scoring well with a low kick there.
Gay stuns Ekaku with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gay connects with a single shot there.
Gay misses with a body shot.
Ekaku misses with a straight left.
Gay fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ekaku steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gay.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gay.
Gay tries to score with a low kick but Ekaku moves his leg out of the way.
Ekaku on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ekaku feints a jab promting Gay to slip. Ekaku then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gay slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Rudy Gay has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gay scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gay throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Ekaku counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
